Who We Are & What We Do

Our Vision

Wisdom & Money is an international community of spiritual friends exploring how to engage with wealth as a doorway to spiritual transformation. We do this at the personal, communal and systemic levels. We know something different than our current culture around money is possible. We envision human beings relating to money as an expression of divine love, and for the well being of all. We envision communities in which people of all genders, faiths, races, cultures are able to work, celebrate, and worship in their unique particularity together. We envision economic systems that ensure that every human being has access to the material resources necessary to sustain life and that honor and respect all of creation. Jesus says it best in the Gospel of John:

“I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
—John 10:10

We are seeking that abundant life for all.

Our roots

Launched in 2017,  Wisdom & Money carries on the signature work of Harvest Time (born out of Church of the Savior) harking back to the early 2000s, of gathering people of wealth with a commitment to the common good in ongoing circles. We are rooted in the prophetic and wisdom traditions of Christianity.

What we do

We invite people of wealth and people from a culture of wealth to live into abundant life for all. We do this by:

  • Convening small circles for transformational conversation about money and spiritual practice in community
  • Providing training in spiritual practices that support inner transformation, build authentic community, and sustain equitable and diverse partnerships.
  • Inspiring participants to undertake bold experiments with money that create unity across historical divisions and nurture abundance for all.
  • Providing 1:1 spiritual companionship for our community members as they discern and grow around particular money questions.
  • Sharing practical examples and personal reflections on the ways that money can be used in alignment with divine love
  • Partnering with aligned organizations and working in groups of people of financial diversity

Community Supported Ministry & Living In Gift

Our work is sourced in Spirit, discerned together in our community, and funded by gifts of time, talent, and treasure primarily from members of our community and friends. We call our organizational model “Living in Gift” and you can learn more about it here.
